I get the urge to go somewhere and bask in the beauty, the color, the soft, warm light of this time of year every fall.
Since that didn’t happen this year, we loaded up the family and went to a beautiful, woodsy spot nearby and I took photos and breathed in the smell of earth and leaves and hoped these days would linger a little while longer.
Will there be seasons in heaven?
The sun is different in fall. In spring it’s cold and blue, in summer it’s harsh and hot and in fall it’s warm and gentle. Have you noticed too or did I just make that up?
Just like candle-light makes your skin look better, fall sunlight makes the leaves look gorgeous.
I hope you’re enjoying this time of year too. Before long they’ll all look like this.

What a beautiful location - is this near where you live? We are supposed to be having spring, but it hasn't really arrived at all.

I love fall too. It's been WARM here in the Minnesota (for Minnesota) so we've been enjoying our days out in that crisp air. Love it.

Oh, me too! Fall is just so wonderful. I miss the beauty of the Ozarks so much this time of year.
i've always said i love the way the sun looks this time of year. reminds me of the dying world of narnia - quiet, solemn, and somehow redder. i love it, the sunset of the seasons. though, i love all the seasons for their own beauty - except winter. i could do without winter.
