Clean floors and princess plates

I just ordered a Bissell Steam Mop. Sort of impulsively. I’ve been thinking about it for a week. I put it on my wish list for Christmas then, this morning after I mopped the kitchen floor and then sat Tess down for a few minutes only to pick her back up to find her covered in filth, I called my husband and said, "I hope you don’t mind if I go ahead and order that mop.”

I’m hoping it will make my floor more inhabitable for Tess. Then she won’t have to spend her days in the Tessmobile to stay clean.

Another plus is that the kids can use it. They find it difficult to wring out the big mop (yes, I’m hopelessly outdated with my string mop).

Last night I posted photos of our dog Sophie (who had puppies a couple of nights ago) on facebook. That night we sat outside waiting and watching as she labored for hours. I finally sent the kids to bed and stayed with her till 3 am before I turned in myself. At that time there were 6 puppies. By morning there were 11. But that’s not the point of this story. The point is, I posted this picture.

Emily commented, “I'm digging Milo's robe. *ahem* can we all agree that the kid has 3 sisters?”

And had me laughing hysterically all morning.

Then at lunch, I noticed this.

He has no problem eating off pink princess plates. In fact, he doesn’t even notice them.

Life is very different when you have three sisters. I think all the pink just becomes a blur. Being surrounded by women will probably make him a better husband. And, he always puts the toilet seat down which will save his future wife one step in the training process.

That is so sweet. He WILL make a wonderful husband some day & a fantastic father. I can see such a gentle spirit in him throughout all of the pictures you post of him! Keep up the great job!

I have all boys. There is no chance of that toilet seat being down.

I have that mop. You will not regret it. Also? The mop shouldn't be on anyone's Christmas list. Because it's a MOP!

As for your son, he'll turn out juuust fine. My brother was the lone man among 3 sisters. And my husband was the only boy with 3 sisters. Their chief complaint was not about princess plates or leopard print robes, but about how hard it was to get a word in edge wise.

I need a different mop too. Just did my floor this morning and what was the point.

My daughter is surrounded by dinosaurs, cars and bugs...she'd love a princess plate. :o)

Oooh, I want to hear about the mop! You'll have to review it for us. I  need something different too. And as for sweet Milo...I've told you before that I have same kids as you. G,G,B,G. My boy (5 yrs old)is the sweetest thing ever!!!! And he doesn't really notice things like princess plates either - unless the girls point it out! ha! I do think he will be the gentlest, most wonderful man for having lived with all us girls. :)

Yay for putting the toilet seat down!!!
My husband is the oldest of 4: 3 boys and then the baby sister, born 13 years later. So he grew up around boys and never learned to put the seat down.
I have an almost 3yo girl, a 17-mo-old boy, and another girl on the way! We would like 4 children, and I can soooo envision having 3 girls and my one little boy. :-) Maybe he will benefit from the sisters, like your little guy has!
And BTW, your little "man" is adorable!

How fun for the kids to have puppies, I remember well the fun my sister and I had when puppies came!
Milo's going to be a GREAT husband someday:) I hope the influence of a big sister helps my little guy in that department too:)

Oh yes, he will make a fabulous husband one day!

But I wonder what that says about my boys. I tell them to make sure to keep the toilet seat UP. After all, it's their bathroom and simplifies the process without having one more thing to do (life seat up) when they are in a hurry. Because they are always in a hurry.

I got one of those mops from Sams Club like 6 months ago. I finally got the go ahead to use it from David. We were wondering if it would mess up our vinyl planks... since it's not sheet vinyl... ack. Technicalities. But I couldn't stand the sticky floor anymore, so I'm going for it. Hope you like it!

My husband's oldest sister just sent me a link to this. My husband has three older sisters. I think it made him a better man! Great post!

Ha! I love the princess plate! With three boys and no girls, you won't be seeing anything pink around here anytime soon! Maybe Milo could come over to play. ;)
