No way! I use them over again too. Only this year I was missing the 7 (I think) and the Walgreens across the street stopped selling these sometime the previous month. I was bummed. But now that I think about it, nobody noticed, nor has anyone ever mentioned it... :)
Nope, I do that too, but it does seem like I usually have every number except the one I need. However, you are smarter than I am, for I see you always buy the same color. That comes in handy when you get into double-digits.
I've got an 8! I've got an 8! Just used it for Dad's 83rd! Oh, and used it a several years ago, too, when we did 8 + 1 for Jesse's 9th, when we didn't have a 9.... SmallWorld
nope. when my honey turned 35 the other day i realized we didn't have a 3. how's that possible? since two of mine have already turned 3. we had a 2 and two 5s. i told him he could be 25, 52, or 55. he opted for the lesser. ;)
No, we reuse too, only what's worse is my husband wants to reuse the little stick ones too! True, they're only lit once or twice, but they don't hold up all that well, and they cost mere pennies compared to the fancy number ones...
I reuse them too.. and on Jordan's 13th bday we couldn't find the 3 so we did as many numbers as we could that added up to 13... 15241... for some reason we had two 1's... oooh it must have been for the 11th birthdays! :) http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/quietcajun/390228/
These comments make me laugh :) Yes, we reuse candles too! And my mom has gotten into the habit (once we all hit bigger mubers) of making the candles into some sort of riddle - like the addition some have mentioned or some sort of code for our name or number. It's always a job to figure it out before we can light them. Fun memories! :)
We reuse ours too, and I don't have all of them either. I didn't have a 5 for my youngest's birthday. But I have two 3s because we had a joint birthday this past May. My daughter turned 6 while my brother-in-law turned 33. See how clever we are! :)
I reuse too, maybe we should start our own support group! You must have had a cake to "cheer" someone up. You are also missing the 2, 4 & 6...you know...2-4-6-8 who do we appreciate?! Sorry, I know that was bad! I have two little girls in my house and it seems I hear that cheer around here at least once a day!

Too funny! I reuse candles too. Imagine my shock one year when I didn't have enough for one of my boys' SECOND birthday! That's just sad, isn't it?
You just need to fashion a plus sign out of something and then use the one and the seven. ;)

someone should really start making addition and subtraction sign candles. wouldn't we have fun on the cakes?
glad i'm not the only one who relights.
I reuse. And I reuse those tiny cheapie stick ones. And my husband throws them out when I'm not looking!
Chickadee, I was cleaning out my junk drawer just TODAY and I found your eight! Sorry, I already threw it away.

Nope, I use 'em too, but I never seem to have the year I need either.
